We’re delighted to share our Calmar Community Vitality Plan project was awarded the 2022 Alberta Professional Planners Institute (APPI), Award of Merit.
Presented during the awards ceremony at the APPI 2022 Conference held in Canmore, Alberta on October 24, this award is given in recognition of projects that advance the field and profile of community planning in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
The Town of Calmar, located in central Alberta, sought to revitalize its main street with well-designed public spaces, lively events, and vibrant shops. The Calmar Community Vitality Plan directly supports this vision and is a culmination of contributions by the Vitalization Task Force Committee, residents, businesses, administration, Council, Alberta Transportation, and the project team.
