We’re pleased to announce that DIALOG and Group 2 have been selected as the architects for the University of the Fraser Valley’s (UFV) new student housing project.
DIALOG, in collaboration with Group 2, will support the project as the architectural team, and Clark Builders and Turner as the builders through an integrated project delivery (IPD) method.
Located in the Abbotsford campus in British Columbia, the new six-storey student residence is a $73.7-million project that will include 398 beds, increasing on-campus student accommodations from 200 beds to 598. The groundbreaking for the new building is scheduled for fall 2023 and project completion set for the fall of 2025.
DIALOG’s Marion LaRue, Partner and architect, says the Practice is excited to create a welcoming and efficient student housing building utilizing leading-edge techniques and materials. “Working closely with our project partners, DIALOG’s skilled and experienced team is very eager to contribute to this incredible new community space where future students will live and learn,” says LaRue.
“The selection of these partners will advance our commitment to significantly increase student housing right here on our Abbotsford campus,” says Jackie Hogan, UFV’s Chief Financial Officer and VP of Administration.
