DIALOG is excited to be featured in the new TVO documentary series, The Nature of Design, exploring the world of biophilic design.

Recently premiering on television and online streaming platforms, the docuseries explores the world of biophilic design – in other words, design that connects people and architecture with nature and the wilderness. The Nature of Design uncovers some of the world’s greatest sustainable designs in schools, cities, workplaces, hospitals, and homes, and proves how incorporating nature into design can positively impact mental and physical wellbeing.

The six-episode program showcases various sustainably designed spaces and features industry experts, including DIALOG partner and engineer Charles Marshall. In the episodes, Charles shares his insight and expertise on sustainability and design, the benefits of nature in design, and gives documentary host Louisa Whitmore a tour of the DIALOG Toronto studio.

Also featured in The Health Channel documentary ‘Biophilia’ was DIALOG’s Vancouver studio and partner and architect Joost Bakker who explains the concept of biophilic design and how it can work to fulfill our biological human desire to be surrounded by natural elements. Watch the documentary here.
