REACHing for Climate Resilience in the Built Environment

The REACH Protocol is a step-by-step framework for designing climate-resilient communities. REACH stands for Readiness, Extent, Adaptation, Consultation, and Harmonization, and is developed by DIALOG in collaboration with other organizations and individuals. Unlike reactive solutions, REACH takes a proactive, big-picture approach focused on research, community engagement, and long-term planning across five key phases.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the REACH Protocol and how it works
  • How to develop design climate adaptation strategies for urban areas
  • Effective ways to involve communities in the process
  • How to align climate strategies with existing budgets and plans
