Chrissy James Associate, Intern Architect  AAA | M.Arch Calgary

Chrissy is an Intern Architect whose work ranges from not-for-profit community projects to private-sector developments and repositioning projects. Her work is defined by innovative problem solving, community focused design, and a desire to create spaces that bring people together. With an interest in sustainable design, she enjoys opportunities to give new life to existing buildings while finding solutions to the complex challenges that revitalization, repositioning, and renovation projects bring. Chrissy is focused on delivering a high-quality standard of design and approaches each project with curiosity, believing that there is inherent value in all different perspectives when it comes to solving a design problem. 

What’s your favorite DIALOG project? 
Calgary’s New Central Library. The building is a beautiful space that houses a key public institution, and is always well utilized when I visit – a key marker of success in my mind! 

What’s one thing about you that would surprise people? 
I don’t like pasta. 

What’s an emerging design technology or trend that has you excited? 
I’m excited about the possibility of AI and how it can fit into the design process.
