Corey is a registered urban planner based in our Toronto studio, bringing over 12 years of diverse experience spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors. His expertise extends from land use and development strategy to master plans, public policy analysis and affordable housing. His strong design sensibility – shaped through years of close collaboration with urban designers, architects and other disciplines – enables him to provide insight at a range of scales and project stages. Whether crafting compelling visions and conceptual development or at more detailed design phases, at a site-specific level or through a broader strategic planning lens, Corey values a holistic, contextual approach.
As the cornerstone of professional urban planning within our Toronto studio, Corey leads with credibility, mentorship, and a collaborative spirit that elevates both our projects and our people. His leadership bridges planning, architecture, landscape, and urban design, ensuring seamless delivery across disciplines and practice areas. Trusted by clients and respected as a mentor, Corey plays a vital role in shaping the next generation of planners.
Beyond DIALOG, Corey is deeply committed to advancing the planning profession and amplifying issues it can potentially impact. He completed the ULI Curtner Leadership Program in 2023 and serves on the Board of Directors of the Eglinton Vaughan Community Land Trust (EVCLT), a non-profit focused on building community capacity and ownership of housing and cultural assets.
What’s your favourite DIALOG project? Why?
DIALOG’s completion of multiple wildlife overpasses in Alberta is amazing.
If you could work a ‘day-in-the-life’ of another discipline at DIALOG, whose would it be? Why?
Probably Landscape. I’m interested in the role of public realm design in climate adaptation and reducing burdens on urban infrastructure. I also often find myself trying to identify tree species.
What’s one thing about you that would surprise people?
I worked as a bike courier in Toronto for over two years (including winters).
