Shahab is an intern architect based out of our Toronto studio and is an integral part of DIALOG’s Science + Technology team. He leverages the power of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to translate program requirements into laboratory plans that meet rigorous performance criteria and realize the full potential of project opportunities.
A respected leader known for his data-driven design process, Shahab motivates his project teams to tackle the largest and most complex projects with confidence. He continually adapts to new tools and technologies, bringing clarity to his work with visual brevity. Consistently providing answers and resources to inform decision making, Shahab’s proactive approach enhances collaboration and efficiency, ensuring that project timelines are met.
Eager to share his expertise, Shahab is a mentor to his colleagues, helping them develop their skills and guiding his team to achieve their best. He has built strong interdisciplinary relationships within the practice, ensuring that our Science + Technology work benefits from integrated processes.
What’s your favorite DIALOG project?
The Dow Chemical project in Edmonton (Fort Saskatchewan). This project stands out to me because it exemplifies the incredible outcomes that can be achieved through seamless teamwork across offices.
What made this experience even more rewarding was the successful implementation of a data-driven design approach in functional programming. This innovative initiative played a crucial role in meeting the needs of a highly complex and demanding client, ensuring that their expectations were not only met but exceeded.
Whose work are you most impressed by?
Jay Levine, our passionate leader in the design of complex science and technology spaces. His ability to navigate intricate design challenges and transform them into solutions that not only meet functional requirements but also elevate the overall value of the project is remarkable. Jay has an exceptional talent for synthesizing complex information and guiding the team through even the toughest hurdles with clarity and vision.
I’d also like to recognize Robert Mariani (Associate, Senior Mechanical Engineer) for his unwavering dedication and professionalism. His commitment to excellence and collaborative attitude sets a great example for everyone around him.
