A Champion of Design Excellence and Collaboration

Stuart has been advancing the design and delivery of complex healthcare and institutional projects across Canada for more than three decades. A member of the Ontario Association of Architects, the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, he is widely recognized for his technical mastery, design leadership, and collaborative ethos, which have shaped a generation of practice in healthcare architecture.

He currently serves as Partner-in-Charge for DIALOG’s design team on the $1.1B Toronto Western Hospital New Surgical and Patient Tower, part of the University Health Network.

Before joining DIALOG, Stuart led major healthcare projects, including the $1.3B Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and the $685M Phase 1C of CAMH. He also co-led the award-winning Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, which received over twenty industry accolades, including the Governor General’s Medal for Architecture.

Stuart’s leadership is defined by a commitment to design excellence and a collaborative, iterative approach that emphasizes curiosity and active listening. He thrives on working closely with clients, consultants, and user groups to uncover meaningful design solutions that respond to both programmatic needs and broader community goals. His ability to guide complex projects from concept through construction has made him a trusted partner in delivering transformative healthcare environments.

Congratulations, Stuart, on this well-deserved recognition of your work. DIALOG is proud to have someone on our team who has contributed so much to the architectural profession.
