DIALOG Represents at BUILDEX Alberta 2023

Join Tai Ziola alongside industry professionals in a seminar that focuses on how a design team seeking to create welcoming space can work collaboratively with diverse users to provide safe and culturally appropriate space for Indigenous communities.

John Souleles will be joined by industry experts in a panel discussion that will highlight some of the existing work underway in Alberta to develop net-zero buildings, both through deep energy retrofits and new construction. Attendees will learn from three to four diverse projects in different phases of development in Alberta and an assortment of retrofits, new builds, commercial, and residential applications. The seminar will wrap up with further information on how to learn more about these initiatives through the Building Information Exchange.

One way that design and construction professionals can improve their collaboration is by adopting new technologies and tools that facilitate communication and coordination. Project management software, for example, can help to track progress, assign tasks, and resolve issues in real-time. Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies can also be used to visualize and interact with designs in a shared space, allowing for more effective collaboration and decision-making.

In this presentation, Megan Brooks will showcase how working together can drive success by exploring collaboration methods between design and construction that focuses on improving the built environment, identifying unique perspectives that each party brings to their projects, and the importance of close relationships.
