Michael Mousa, DIALOG sustainability consultant and this year’s Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) Emerging Green Leader Award winner, was featured in CAGBC’s latest “Ask the Expert” interview.
Michael’s involvement with the Carbon Leadership Forum Toronto and Toronto Clean Energy Partnership, and his mentorship of young engineers at the University of Toronto, along with his continuous advocacy in green building, has established him as an emerging green leader; inspiring many to pursue their goals and a career in green building and community development.

In CAGBC’s latest “Ask the Expert” interview, Michael shares thoughts on his career journey, motivation, a project he is most proud of, and advice to younger green building professionals new to the industry.
“I distinctly remember the first time I learned about climate change,” says Mousa. “It was in my Grade 4 science class, where we learned about hairspray and its impact on the ozone layer. I remember feeling concerned.”
