Shaping Global Conversations: DIALOG Becomes Partner of The World Economic Forum

September 24, 2024

DIALOG has officially partnered with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and two of its global initiatives – Davos Baukultur Alliance and the Centre for Urban Transformation – to help build a better, more sustainable future.

We are excited to announce as of September 1, 2024, DIALOG is an official Partner of the World Economic Forum, an international organization dedicated to improving the state of the world through collaboration.

A more sustainable future is closer than ever before

In a world marked by complex challenges, the Forum engages political, business, academic, civil society, and other leaders of society to shape global and regional agendas. The WEF provides an impartial, not-for-profit platform for meaningful connection to build initiatives that push cooperation and progress.

As a Partner of the WEF, DIALOG joins a dedicated community of global leaders from across all sectors, working together to shape a better future and create lasting impact.

The Davos Baukultur Alliance

The Davos Baukultur Alliance is a global initiative that unites individuals around a shared set of principles to improve the quality and culture of our living environments. Baukultur, which means “Building Culture”, sees living environments as a coherent whole, from individual buildings to large-scale infrastructures. Its three main areas of focus include sustainability and circularity, resilience and climate adaptation, and affordability and social value creation.

As a member of this Alliance, DIALOG collaborates with global leaders to develop practical tools, case studies, and policies that promote high-quality Baukultur and advance quality planning, construction, and management of more sustainable communities, both locally and nationally.

The Centre for Urban Transformation

The Centre for Urban Transformation is an initiative of the WEF focused on advancing collaboration in cities to enable more resilient, sustainable, and future-ready communities. The Centre’s three main priorities include growing local economies, creating eco-friendly cities through sustainable construction and green buildings, and making life better for people by driving high-quality, affordable urban development.

Through the partnership with the Centre for Urban Transformation, DIALOG gains access to a global network of thought leaders, public figures, and decision-makers, along with world-class research. This helps us continue to reach our goal of creating a lasting, positive impact on the communities we serve and the environment we all share.

Earlier this year, DIALOG authored a thought leadership piece on the Forum about deep retrofits, contributing to the conversation of a more sustainable future. DIALOG’s sθәqәlxenәmts’exwts’áxwi7 Rainbow Park was also included as a case study in Davos Baukultur Alliance’s ‘Innovate Practice’ as a resource for others, highlighting diverse approaches to challenges and strategies for improving living environments. This led to a commitment in continuing our efforts with WEF to deepen our impact as thought leaders and drive meaningful change in the world.

Partnering with the WEF puts DIALOG in a position to shape global conversations and elevate the priorities that matter to us – community improvement, design excellence, net-zero cities – and bringing them to the global stage, working with others.

We’re excited to take this next step with the World Economic Forum and can’t wait to share the stories of our impact as we move through this partnership together!
