Stuart Elgie joins DIALOG as partner

December 17, 2020

We are pleased to announce that Stuart Elgie, OAA, MRAIC, has joined DIALOG as a partner, effective January 4, 2021. Stuart will be focusing on healthcare design, projects, and pursuits, and will be based out of DIALOG’s Toronto studio.

Stuart has spent the last two decades building extensive experience in healthcare design and construction, most recently as Vice President and Health Sector Leader for Canada with Stantec Architecture. Recent career highlights include serving as Principal-in-Charge for both the $1.3B Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, ON and Phase 1C of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto.

I’m very excited to join the DIALOG team, which has an long history in Canada and is growing in the US. I’m looking forward to working with a talented group of people who are designing and building world-class healthcare facilities.

Stuart Elgie

While at Stantec, Stuart was directly involved in all aspects of project work as well as developing business planning and pursuit strategies for healthcare projects. He was instrumental in the successful delivery of several major projects, including the Bridgepoint Active Healthcare in Toronto and the Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences at George Brown College in Toronto.

Elgie noted that his decision to come to DIALOG was driven by the firm’s unique approach to design: “DIALOG is different. It’s a representation of the people who share a common drive to seek new ways to have a positive impact in their communities.”

DIALOG’s leadership team is enthusiastic about Elgie’s decision to join the design practice.

We’re thrilled to add Stuart to our strong healthcare team. He has a wealth of hands-on experience that will prove invaluable. Stuart is ideally suited to working with our teams to secure new healthcare work, as well as collaborating with individual clients to understand their needs.
