
Katherine has worked as an architect and interior designer for over 30 years. With a focus on community and civic projects, her portfolio spans offices, mixed-use developments, post-secondary facilities, libraries, museums and arts complexes. Katherine collaborated on The River residential condominiums project in Calgary and on projects with the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University. She has been involved with TELUS Spark Science Centre from the new building through to exhibit insertions and was the project manager for the Rundle College K-6 School, Taradale Elementary School and Ernest Manning High School projects.
Katherine has a long history of involvement in her professional community. She is a past president of the Alberta Association of Architects and was a sessional instructor for the University of Calgary School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape and serves as a University of Calgary Senator. As a team member, Katherine has undertaken Canadian Architecture Certification Board accreditation reviews for university programs. Katherine has been a board member with the Calgary Arts Development and the Calgary Public Art Board. She was also a member of The City of Calgary Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and is a commissioner with The City of Calgary Planning Commission. Katherine is a member of the advisory committee for the Design Talks Institute, which is dedicated to advancing urban architecture and design education.
