Our Team
Nancy Logan Associate, Senior Interior Designer   Intern Interior Designer AAA, BAID, CHID, NCIDQ, IDA Calgary

Nancy joined our Calgary studio in 2013, bringing extensive experience as a senior interior designer. During her time at DIALOG, she has further developed her passion for healthcare design, making significant contributions to healthcare projects such as the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre and the UHN Toronto Western Hospital New Surgical and Patient Tower. With a unique blend of attention to detail and technical expertise, Nancy approaches each project with a focus on designing spaces that positively impact patients, families, and staff.

As a strong leader, her expertise shines through at every stage of her work, from client meetings and user group discussions to design development, where she integrates considerations for accessibility, infection prevention and control (IPAC), chemical resistance, and device coordination. Nancy has a gift for transforming complex interiors into environments that foster wellbeing.

She is a dedicated advocate for healthcare design, having developed the “Healthcare Deep Dive Series,” an educational initiative aimed at expanding technical knowledge within teams. Her achievement as a Certified Healthcare Interior Design (CHID) credential reinforces her leadership in the industry and commitment to community wellbeing and design excellence.

Where do you find inspiration?

I am inspired by the stories of patients, families, and care givers. Each journey is uniquely powerful and inspires me to provide well designed environments to support healing.

What do you do to get out of a creative rut?

I take time to escape to the mountains to reset. The mountains always bring peace to my soul and allow me space to think, breathe, and challenge myself.

If you could work a ‘day-in-the-life’ of another discipline/department at DIALOG, whose would it be?

I would work with the Contract Administration team. Collaborating with contractors and seeing how the design and working drawings translate to a built environment provides the best opportunity to learn.

"Visiting a hospital can often be a stressful and challenging experience, by eliminating unnecessary barriers that contribute to stress, you can create opportunities for healing. Every decision, no matter how small, can have a significant impact on patients, their families, and caregivers."
