DIALOG has worked in Ottawa for decades. It is a place where we’re proud to have done meaningful work with a positive impact on the people that live there, and on the planet. Now, we are excited to open a permanent home in Ottawa.
The Ottawa studio marks our sixth location, and its opening reflects something we’ve known for a long time: Ottawa is at the centre of national and global conversations, and a centre for innovative design.
In the heart of the Zibi development, our new studio at 6 Booth Street is expected to open in December and gives our Ottawa team a place to call home. We have had people based in the capital region since 2016, and this space allows us to collaborate, create, and contribute even more meaningfully to the communities we serve.
DIALOG has spent the past 65 years working to improve the well-being of communities and the environment through thoughtful, sustainable design. Our portfolio spans a wide range of transformative projects including cultural hubs like Granville Island, memorable civic buildings, and hospitals where biophilic design supports healing. It extends net-zero mass timber office towers, ambitious government retrofits that dramatically reduce embodied carbon and emissions, breathing double-skin façades that adapt to shifting weather, human-centric transit facilities and transit-oriented communities.
As a multidisciplinary team of architects, urban planners, interior designers, engineers, landscape architects, and sustainability consultants, our practice takes a collaborative approach to addressing the complex challenges communities face today, with a goal to design spaces that are inclusive and resilient.
