The Hive, Inspired by the Patterns of Nature
In this session, DIALOG’s Martin Nielsen and Ryan McClanaghan will showcase 2150 Keith Drive, also known as The Hive, an innovative 10-storey mass timber building targeting high-performance environmental standards and will regenerate an emerging industrial neighbourhood.
Speakers will address the replicable geometry of the building’s honeycomb exoskeleton which supports an economic, efficient, and sustainable construction process, as well as the design that uses a common language of digital planning, laboratory testing, and prefabrication.
