Innovative Fitness at TELUS Garden
A stimulating adventure created in an office tower basement

An under-utilized lower level space in the iconic TELUS Garden building in downtown Vancouver was chosen as the home of Innovative Fitness’s newest gym location. The design team was challenged with satisfying both TELUS and Innovative Fitness’ requirements and expectations for this new facility. The clients shared a desire to create a flagship gym while merging both of their brands and threading in a progressive flare for the new street-level facility. Both clients wanted a space that made a bold statement and provided a strong sense of brand, status, and adrenaline using unique design form.

The Team
The initial plans for the lower level space that would become Innovative Fitness at TELUS Garden show that the space was very fragmented, and did not offer up many opportunities for connectivity.
The diagram of the finished space shows how significantly it was transformed, as well as the colour highlights and wood accents that were incorporated into the design. Visitors travel through the facility and are transformed by their workout experience – and experience in this amazing space.
