Grant over 25 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry and sustainable design. Having worked with LEED® building standards from its inception as a sustainability guideline to today’s advanced and challenging certification requirements, he has led our team towards compliance with the AIA 2030 challenge. Grant has focused his extensive consulting knowledge on large institutional and commercial projects throughout his career, including healthcare and laboratories, post-secondary facilities, and airports. The LEED® Commercial Interiors design for our new Edmonton studio, expansion and energy upgrades at the Kelowna Airport, and new healthcare facilities for the towns of Edson and Grande Prairie are among his recent work.
Grant applies his skills in system design concepts, life-cycle costing, best practices, mentoring and guidance, quality control, and commissioning to project development from concept to construction and warranty periods. He constantly pushes the envelope of sustainable design in his work, incorporating concepts from net zero, living building, net positive, and new mechanical designs.
